Anyway, I'm gonna make more of these Greek mythology aus! this time it's Ace as Icarus and Salem as the Sun/Apollo!

I imagined Ace just visiting Salem from time to time just wanting to be around him when one day ace decided he wanted to get closer to the sun and when he got in front of him, Salem then grabbed Ace and surprised him with a kiss which burned his wings. The last thing he saw while falling down was Salem smiling down at him.

Did you know that in the real story, When Icarus was falling down, he was actually laughing as he sailed down. It signifies that he knew he would fall if he came closer to the sun, and wouldn't be afraid to try it again.... soooo yeah, kinda imagined Ace would do the same thing in this scenario! :]]

With a wine glass in his hand, Damien continued to work on his next book, his hands falling quickly against his macintosh's keyboard.

"Gabriel, I'm pregnant." Unable to find the words to express the tumult of emotions swirling within him, Gabriel crossed the room to envelop Helena in a tender embrace. In that moment, amidst the blueprints and sketches of his professional life, he knew that nothing else mattered—not the trials of the past, nor the challenges that lay ahead. All that mattered was the life they had created together, a beacon of hope amidst the uncertainty of…

His editor wanted a baby, so a baby he was going to give her. As he took another sip from his Bordeaux, noting the oaky flavor that remained, Damien envisioned his night. It wasn't the inevitable chaos of an Ascension ceremony; he'd attended his fair share over the years, and the last thing he wanted was to attend another. Apart from that, he'd have to attend in secrecy, and the idea of pretending interest in a bunch of witches he never really liked soured the idea for him. Kieran would go and report back to him; that was what they'd agreed to.

After cracking out another page, Damien stood and reached for his stereo remote, turning it up as one of his favorite songs filled the room. With a glance towards the semi-lifeless witch, who also wouldn't be making tonight's ascension, Damien started to sing and dance in front of her. His body moved slow, taunting, perfectly in sync with the song's enchanting melody. "You're out of my league," he sang, relishing the irony. "Just a fool to believe I have anything she needs." He climbed over her on his bed as she pulled at her invisible restraints. "She's like the wind." Just not tonight, Damien thought to himself, knowing her powers were forever restrained, as he leaned down and brought his sacrificial knife up and down in quick succession.

The phone interrupted him, as irritating as ever at this hour, diverting his attention from his unfinished task as he approached the receiver. "This better be good." Taking a lick from the blood-covered dagger to prevent his carpets from ruining, he answered with a short and quick, "Yes?" His annoyance didn't fade at the sound of Kieran's rushed nervousness. So young; he'd have to choose more carefully next time. Eventually, he did manage to make out what Kieran was trying to say, a frown creasing his usually smooth forehead. "Did we lose anyone?" One? Well then. He'd have preferred if the witch that lost control only took out her own kind, but one was a loss he could handle for now. Not forever, but until he was ready to reclaim Salem. "Send your regards to the family. Offer them your blessings and promise them justice." He'd send them the body of the witch in his bed. There was no need for them to know the difference. "And Kieran... tread carefully..." The last thing Damien needed right now was nosy female witches excommunicating his coven again. He needed his brothers eyes and ears all around Salem.

Hanging up, Damien walked back over to his bed, placing the dagger on his night table as he easily heaved her up over his shoulder. It was time to get to work.

Life in McKinley had been going relatively smoothly thus far, which was more than she was ever expecting. A pleasant surprise, of the highest order. But, with that, meant, there was one thing always present on her mind. When was the other shoe going to drop? Sure, things were still relatively complicated, particularly where Orion was concerned. The curse, keeping them from being together, was ever present on each of their minds, as of their conversation earlier that day. It wasn’t six hours earlier, where she sat in a coffee shop with the man with whom she loved, telling him that she wanted to really focus on getting this curse removed. To finally be able to indulge in one another in every intimate way that was ripped from them. Emotional intimacy was great and all, but even if she could just place one kiss against beckoning lips, maybe she would feel a lot better about their standing.

So, following her time with him earlier that day, she’d decided to swing back to the apartment they shared, for he was likely off to a shift at work, and she was busy job-hunting herself. It wasn’t a comforting feeling, knowing Orion was quickly getting his life together, whilst she was struggling a little more to find her footing in McKinley, but she was mostly chalking a lot of that up to the fact that her mother was the one doing this. That there was a large amount of guilt washing over her. If it wasn’t for her, Orion wouldn’t be in this position. If he’d only fallen for another woman of their coven, and maybe they could’ve stayed in the place they once called home, in Salem. Though, there was more than one reason as to why they should’ve gotten out, and that was surrounding their distrust of magic, and all that came with it. It’s why each of them were branded, scarred, and generally traumatised by those that ran the coven. Orion gave into his magic on more than one occasion, encouraging Ileana to do the same, ultimately causing them to fall in love, bonding over their passion for witchcraft and all that it entailed. Not a relationship that Ileana’s mother encourage, by any stretch of the imagination.

Tapping away at her laptop, the red headed witch was busy looking at potential job listings, but there just didn’t seem much that got her excited. Though at this point, it was more for the money than anything she’d seemingly enjoy. So, that barista job at a local cafe was beginning to look really nice right about now. Before deciding anything, she shot Orion a quick text to check if it was something she should take up, even just temporarily.

[ TEXT : 5:24pm ] : Found a barista job, part time, but it’s better than nothing, right?

She didn’t know it at the time, but that timestamp on her phone was going to become very important. In fact, it would be the last text she sent, before her phone would become damaged beyond repair, and left behind in an empty and very questionable apartment. Items thrown around, and obvious signs of a struggle.

For, following that text, there was a large bang at the door, and before she was even able to answer it, the door flew off it’s hinges. Magic. Whoever it was, was very much like her. However, the last person she expected to see walk through said doors, was an all too familiar face. A face with whom she’d run all the way from Salem, to hide from. Her mother. Evelyn Whitlock. “Daughter.” She called out, almost aggressively. Why was she using magic? Was she that desperate to get Ileana back? Or was all of their rules nothing but a ruse? Was she practicing magic this entire time, and thus becoming stronger, whilst the remainder of her cult remained malleable and weak in comparison? Nobody to truly challenge her? Whatever it was, the younger witch did not have time to figure it out. She stood there, looking at the woman who raised her, whilst a few others entered behind her, all of whom she recognised from back home. And, all she could think right now was, ‘thank God Orion isn’t here’, for she knew this was going to go one way, and one way only. She was out-manned, especially given her lack of know how with regards to magic, she was still learning.

“Where is Mr. Kugler? His mother is missing him dearly.” Evelyn commented, but of course, Ileana remained tight-lipped on the matter. Well, initially, before her response seconds later. “We seperated. Figured it would be harder for you to track us. But, clearly that wasn’t the case. ‘Cause here you are, mother.” Of course, not true in the slightest. But, the less her mother knew of Orion’s location, the better. Let alone the fact that his mother was the reason why they had managed to escape. Or, was her comment about his mother, a dig? Was she aware of her involvement? It was safer not to dig. Right now, anyway. Not until she knew further details, about what her mother knew and what she didn’t. “I suppose you’re here to try and bring me back?” A nod immediately following on her mother’s part, looking as smug as ever, as those behind her, looked like they were ready for just about anything Ileana threw their way. And whilst she wasn’t going to go down without a fight, she had a feeling it was a needless venture. She knew this wasn’t going to end in her favour. In the meantime, she just needed to make it obvious that something had gone awry, so when Ri inevitably returned, he would be aware this wasn’t just her picking up and leaving. For, she would never. Not without him.

And with that, before much more could be said, Ileana let rip. Immediately throwing the first metaphorical punch, as she tried to use the little magic she was familiar with at this point, but it was unfortunately not enough. Not with the number of them surrounding her. “You’ll have to kill me, before I go back there.” And unfortunately, it sounded like it wasn’t too dissimilar to what they had in mind for her betrayal. It was too much. The power. She was too weak. Her nose beginning to trickle with crimson, as she ultimately began to fall to the ground, the apartment in disarray as each of the items were damaged in one sense or another. But, right before she ultimately succumbed to the exhaustion, she did manage to call one person. Someone she knew could track her. Who could find her. “Sev!” It was repeated on a few occasions, each time, her tone decreasing in strength, until it became nothing but a whisper, her head falling to the floor, eyes closing, as she knew for when she eventually would awaken, this is not where she would be. However, had she just unexpectedly dragged an unwilling victim into this situation, luring him to danger, by calling to her whitelighter? Despite it being his job? Only time would tell.

Orion was born to Thomas and Torrance Kugler. Their family was a part of a coven in Salem that was of matriarchal leadership and primarily non-practicing. They viewed magic as a gift that should be used sparingly and members were punished if they were frivolous with their gift. Orion’s best friend at the coven was Ileana Whitlock, the daughter of their coven leader. Ileana’s family hated Orion, both because of his poor genetics as well as his inability to control his magic as he got older. Orion and Ileana cared deeply for each other and wanted to be together romantically, but the coven used their magic to curse the pair. If they entangled romantically, people they loved would suffer for their selfishness. Eventually, Orion encouraged Ileana to explore her own magical talents more and more and both of them were severely punished when they refused to stop. Each tattoo they have is a brand of the coven, marking them as magic users. The tattoos increased in size each time they were caught, and they were treated as pariahs because of this. Eventually, Orion could not take the living situation anymore and begged Ileana to leave with him. His mother helped the pair escape and they made their way to McKinley. They’ve heard whispers of other witches in the area and are hoping to start a new coven, this one far more understanding and accepting than their last.

‘ A turbulent childhood left you in fear of your own shadow, a constant undercurrent of terror plaguing you that turned out to be something of a premonition when tragedy struck at too young an age. A fearful upbringing then gave birth to a troubled teenager, although you cannot remember half of what they say you’ve done. They called you unruly; dangerous. A threat. You’ve been in and out of therapists offices and hospitals more than most people have in a lifetime. Eventually, after being medicated, the trouble stopped. Voices and murmurings that seemed to become louder in the dark disappeared. Your thoughts became clear, but dull, but at least you no longer had lapses of memory. Though now the terror is back, hidden in the recesses of your mind, although you cannot pinpoint why. You’ve developed a love of things that keep you distracted and away from people who could possibly see something in you that you’re too afraid to face. Computers and technology have always been easy to understand, and easy to fix. That is until you took the job at the local college, where technology ultimately led you to a reality that was far more confusing and terrible than even you’ve experienced. Despite how your heart constricts when you see things out of the corner of your eye - brief glimpses of the dark, there’s also a curiosity. A familiarity that you can’t help but notice. You start to wonder if perhaps these occurrences are more personal to you than professional. But you’re too scared to question it; to look into them deeper. FUN FACTS Of course he wears glasses. The Velma, if you will. To the outside eye, Theodore just seems like a mild mannered nerd/scaredy cat. He can keep to himself, fearing getting too close to anyone, but I imagine he has a soft spot for his friends even if he can be withdrawn into himself and HATES being the center of attention. He can usually be found wherever it is quietest with his laptop. He wears headphones, but usually with no sound. They’re really so no one talks to him, but that can only fool people for so long. He lives on his own a few blocks away from his workplace in a one bedroom apartment with his cat roommate, Simon. He’s maybe the most lively when he’s teaching; he has a genuine love and joy for his students, because teaching is something that’s become a safe place for him. He’s good at it, and he sees the good it does in others. He still has trouble sleeping at night, though. Terrible insomnia has him living off of coffee and pre-packaged sugary goods to get him through the day. Subsequently he has a Dad-bod, but that’s in these days, so it’s cool. More often than not he may seem keyed up, or clearly anxious, but does have moments where he can actually have a sense of humor. It can be hard to pull that out of him, though, especially as he has a tendency to withdraw into his own mind.
